The Spanish surgeon will discuss the latest advances in his areas of specialization in the cities of Boston (USA) and Coimbatore (India). Piñal

The 73rd annual meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) will be held in the state capital of Massachusetts from September 13 to 15 at the Hynes Convention Center. Dr. Piñal is a regular in the list of international speakers invited to this event, including the last edition held in San Francisco.

Joseph Uton, (Massachusetts General Hospital, USA), Simmo Vilkky (professor emeritus at the University Hospital of Tampere, Finland), Raja Sabapathy (head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery Ganga Hospital, India) and Neil Jones (former president of ASSH, period 2015-16, USA).

Just three weeks later, the city of Coimbatore, in the federal state of Tamil Nadu, in the southwestern corner of India, will host the 42nd Annual Conference of the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand (ISSH), from October 4 to 7.

Among the different activities that Dr. Piñal (the only Spanish in the international faculty of the meeting) will develop stands out the execution of a demonstrative session of live surgery in the Ganga Hospital complex. In turn, he will teach a master class on reconstructive microsurgery of the hand, in addition to addressing his experience in the management of ulnar pain and the potentials of using cannulated screws in metacarpal and phalangeal fractures.
