Olympic sailor Tara Pacheco will compete at the Sailing World Championships after overcoming a fracture of the index finger on her right hand

The sailor of the Spanish Olympic squad Tara Pacheco will finally participate in the 2014 Santander Sailing World Championships, after quickly recovering from an accidental injury in the fifth metacarpal of the index finger of her right hand.

Pacheco, who was incidentally injured during a previous training in the Bay of Santander, had an emergency operation performed by the Spanish surgeon Francisco Del Piñal last August 26^th; just two weeks later, her recovery is already confirmed.

The Canarian sailor, 470 class World and European champion – teaming with the Cantabrian Berta Betanzos– will compete in Santander in the Nacra17 category together with the double Olympic medalist Iker Martín.
