Dr. Francisco del Pinal held a meeting in the Russian city of St. Petersburg last week, where he  discussed with several Russian specialists the state of the art in some of his areas of expertise. Del Piñal went to the former Leningrad invited by Dr. Igor Golubev, head of Hand and Microsurgery at N. Priorov Research Institute of Trauma Surgery and Orthopaedics in Moscow.
