The German city of Munich hosted last November 16th the first edition of ‘Munich Hand’, which aims to provide a platform for knowledge transfer for therapists and hand surgeons in the länder of Bavaria.

In this context, Dr. Del Piñal was the only foreign speaker along with Drs. Hausgstvedt (Norway) and Luchetti (Italy).

This first call -organized by the Hospital of the University of Munich- was devoted to compare both the open and arthroscopic treatments for wrist sequelae linked to complex distal radius fractures, before an audience of more than a hundred physicians.

Del Piñal addressed the arthroscopic management of this kind of lesion in its more challenging cases, in addition to approach the microsurgical response to some of its impacts on the wrist by means of partial joint transplants.

The meeting was chaired by the head of the Unit for Aesthetic, Plastic and Hand Surgery of the Bavarian university hospital, Riccardo Giunta, and developed under the sponsorship of the German Society for Surgery of the Hand (DGH – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Handchirurgie).
