Dr. Amr Fouad, 33, Egypt, graduated in medicine from the University of Al-Azhar, Cairo. He is currently at the Reconstructive Microsurgery and Hand Unit of the Assiut University Hospital.

Why did you choose the residents program of Dr. del Piñal?

First, because of his prestige in the area of hand surgery and microsurgery, thanks to the several researches he has published in this field; second, through the recommendations of some of my professors in Egypt, like Drs. El Gammal and Hakiem and also Dr. Soldado in Spain.

How would you describe your experience from a professional point of view?.

Dr. del Piñal’s clinic works like a family, with a good systema for teaching and studying. Team members help everyone.

During my rotation the experiences have been numerous: different technical approaches, clinical cases -some particularly complex- contact with patients, children, etc. I feel satisfied. I hope to return in the near future and train other colleagues to come too.

I think is a fantastic city, attractive and very quite, away from the bustle of Cairo. Any recommendations?, boats in the harbor, views from the main lighthouse or the fish in restaurants (…).
