The meeting will take place this coming May at the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital

Dr Francisco del Piñal will be the keynote international speaker at the next annual congress of the Taiwan Society for Surgery of the Hand (TSSH). The Linkou Chang Gung Memorial will host this meeting on the 5th and 6th of May, under the leitmotiv ‘Reaching out the perfection in hand surgery’.

The keynote lecture of the Spanish surgeon will address the transformation of hand surgery from its classical period to the current state of the art of the discipline. Titled ‘Major hand trauma, from classics to microsurgery and arthroscopy’, Piñal will analyse various techniques and clinical contexts, including the approach to the catastrophic hand, in which his work is a global benchmark.

Dr Piñal will also participate in two round tables dedicated to tackle the wrist pain of ulnar and radial origin.

This edition of the Taiwanese congress will have among its main items the reconstruction of the burned hand, the treatment of lymphedema in the upper limb and the radioulnar wrist pathologies.
