The Spanish surgeon analyzed the secondary instabilities in acute injuries and ulnar fractures
The Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA – https://www.ioaindia.org/) organized last Sunday the online seminar ‘Distal radio-ulnar joint and ulnar sided wrist pain’, in which an international panel of speakers addressed the role of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) and its associated pathologies.
Dr Piñal took part in the scientific program of the meeting analyzing the secondary instabilities in acute injuries and ulna fractures (‘Acute Injury and Ulna Fracture: Important of DRUJ’).
The Spanish surgeon completed a group of eight lecturers formed by Drs Henry, Moran and Kakar (USA), Ecker (Australia), Szalay (Germany), Koch (Holland) and Jindal (India).
Born in Santander, northern Spain, in 1960, Dr Francisco del Piñal is considered one of the world’s best hand surgeons. His contributions in the fields of microsurgical toe to hand transfer or arthroscopic surgery techniques on wrist fractures are endorsed and used internationally.
