Del Piñal gives the master lecture at the conference ‘Distal radius fractures and associated injuries’, organized by the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid

The Spanish surgeon addressed the use of arthroscopy in distal radius fractures and related lesions

The San Carlos Clinical Hospital (Madrid) hosted last February 21st the conference ‘Distal radius fractures and associated injuries’, promoted by its Hand Surgery Unit, under the direction of Dr. M ª Dolores Gimeno.

Within the program of this training course for physicians, Dr. Francisco del Piñal delivered the master lecture ‘Arthroscopy in distal radius fractures and associated injuries’. Del Piñal, secretary general of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS) is an international referent in this sort of surgical technique.

The participation of the Spanish surgeon also included a presentation on osteochondral grafts in the round table ‘Salvage techniques for the radio-carpal joint’. An activity chaired by Dr. García López, and in which Del Piñal was accompanied by Dr. González del Pino and García-Lopez himself.

‘Distal radius fractures and associated injuries’ was held under the auspices of the Spanish Society for Surgery of the Hand (SECMA), the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA) and the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT).
