I chose Dr. Piñal’s Resident Training Program after attending several lectures and presentations given by Dr. Piñal. I found his work both fascinating and inspiring. In addition, while searching online, I discovered that the program was exceptionally well organized, thanks in part to the contribution of Dr. Jaime Sánchez.

How would you describe your experience from a professional point of view?

The month I spent with Dr. Piñal and his team flew by. It was a truly enriching professional experience. Every day brought new and interesting cases to observe and discuss. Every time I entered the operating room, I saw surgeries I had never witnessed before.

I learned a great deal about surgery for neuropathic pain, stiff hand, spastic hand and upper limb, the management of phalangeal, metacarpal, radius and ulna fractures, as well as reconstructive options for bone and soft tissue defects, among many other topics.

The entire team at Dr. Piñal’s clinic demonstrated outstanding professionalism.

Madrid: Personal impressions, must-see places, and advice for future residents

Madrid is a vibrant city with endless opportunities to explore and enjoy. El Retiro Park was one of my favorite places.

My advice to future residents would be to purchase the monthly public transportation pass, as Madrid has an excellent public transport system. I also recommend booking flights to Santander as early as possible to secure the best options.
