“I deeply appreciate Dr. Piñal’s commitment to teaching. I believe that very few professionals with his level of experience would show such dedication to sharing their knowledge, even in their free time.”
Why did you choose Dr. Piñal’s residency program?
I chose to train in the residency program at Dr. Piñal and Associates Clinic because it represents a unique learning opportunity alongside a leading team in hand and upper limb surgery. Dr. Piñal’s career and prestige, as well as his innovative approach and commitment to surgical excellence, strongly motivated me to want to become part of his training environment.
How would you describe your experience from a professional point of view?
During the first years of my residency, I had the opportunity to listen to Dr. Piñal’s master lectures at several conferences and to review some of his articles, and I was always struck by his extensive experience as a surgeon and the depth of knowledge he conveyed. As a Plastic Surgery resident with a particular interest in hand surgery, the possibility of discussing cases, reviewing relevant articles, and asking questions about both clinical and surgical management with such an important reference in this field has been extremely enriching.
Madrid, the city: personal impressions, places not to miss, advice for new residents
It is a city that offers everything you could want: leisure, culture, green spaces, places to do sports… I think it is very important to make good use of your time and try to really get to know the city during these months.
Santander, the city: personal impressions, places not to miss, advice for new residents
A beautiful city. I highly recommend eating at La Caseta de Bombas after finishing clinic — a lovely and very pleasant place where the food is quite good.
Anything else?
I deeply appreciate Dr. Piñal’s dedication to teaching. I believe that very few professionals with his experience would show such interest in sharing their knowledge, even in their free time. From discussing cases, sending us papers by email, and even offering to give us a master class on a day when the operating room schedule was cancelled.
