“To be with Dr. Piñal and his team is to be at the forefront of innovation in hand surgery and the best in patient care”.

Dr. Bram Van Hove, University Hospital UZ Brussel

Why did you choose Dr. Piñal’s residency programme?

Because I wanted to learn from one of the best hand surgeons in the world.

How would you describe your experience from a professional point of view?

My visit to Dr. Piñal and his team has forever changed the way I work and care for patients. They never settle for “good” or “good enough”, but strive for excellence in every case, no matter how hopeless it may seem.

To have worked with Dr. Piñal and his team is to be at the forefront of innovation in hand surgery and the best patient care.

This experience has been a great eye-opener for me and has inspired me to keep pushing myself, keep questioning dogma and keep looking for the best techniques to treat patients. Moreover, working here has taught me valuable techniques in wrist arthroscopy, fracture treatment, reconstructive microsurgery and, of course, the management of patients diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), reflex sympathetic dystrophy or Sudeck’s dystrophy.
