Elizabeth, tells us how 7 years ago, she rode a scooter that had been given to her son, with the bad luck that she fell and fractured her right wrist. This developed Sudeck’s syndrome.

Seven years ago, a seemingly simple accident changed Elizabeth’s life. While enjoying a scooter ride with her son, she suffered a fall that fractured her right wrist. What seemed like a normal recovery turned into a nightmare when doctors diagnosed her with Sudeck’s syndrome, also known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy.

“My hand would turn completely purple, the pain was unbearable and I couldn’t even touch it. I was referred to specialists who didn’t know how to treat me and, after an unnecessary operation, my condition worsened,” says Elizabeth.

Her condition worsened to the point where the pain spread throughout her arm. The drugs prescribed in the Pain Unit were so strong that they affected her perception of reality. “I was seeing things, I couldn’t sleep, I was always on the alert to avoid someone touching my arm,” he recalls.

Desperate not to find a solution, his family even considered treatment in Italy. But everything changed the day she saw a report on television about Dr Piñal, a specialist who claimed to be able to cure Sudeck’s. With nothing to lose, Elizabeth decided to contact Dr Piñal. With nothing to lose, Elizabeth decided to contact him.
“It was hard to believe, but we decided to give it a try. I had the operation and, from the first moment, the pain disappeared. It was like living again. Now I do sport, I drive, I work… I lead a completely normal life,” she says emotionally.

Her story is a testimony of hope for those who suffer from this disease. “I want this to help other patients to find a solution. Don’t give up, because there is hope and there is treatment,” she concludes.
